Other Services & Bespoke Assessments

In addition to the many services listed on our website, we can also undertake other types of assessments including noise at work and vibration.

Noise at work assessments are undertaken in accordance with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.  Assessments have recently been carried out at entertainment venues, factories and educational establishments.

Vibration assessments can be undertaken as part of a wider acoustical service.  Vibration levels can be measured and assessed against client specifications or relevant criteria.  Vibration sources recently assessed by WBM include trains, heavy good vehicles and construction activity.

WBM can carry out assessments of unusual noise sources.  For example, noise levels from dog grooming parlours and dog kennels have been assessed individually for planning applications and also as part of larger projects.  Measurements have been made near to timber sawmills and stone saws as part of noise impact assessments.  Another example is the assessment of noise from a wind tunnel, which required recommendations for mitigation measures.
