WBM has advised Tarmac and MQP for twenty years at their Old and New Cliffe Hill Quarries in Leicestershire. We provided advice in connection with the move from Old to New Cliffe Hill in the early 1990's and liaised closely with the local environmental health authorities in connection with the extended night-time use of the train loading facility.
Meetings and negotiations with the county council established sensible noise limits and hours of operation for different elements within the quarry complex, followed by regular compliance monitoring for daytime, evening and night-time periods. The photograph shows the primary crusher in Old Cliffe Hill after that was reopened via a tunnel to New Cliffe Hill for the transport of material by conveyor and dump trucks.
